Vagner Facin de Araujo, General Manager
Mr. Facin de Araujo is an electrical engineer with over 28 years of experience working in the electrical, oil and gas energy industries. He has managed various sectors of the production chain and he has led several key contractual negotiations for significant projects, successfully overseeing the legal and fiscal aspects of projects involving national, bi-national and multi-national enterprises, including Itaipu HVDC Furnas, CEP 213 and 230, and Furnas Itá Garabi I and II Endesa. He has handled many assignments for a variety of ABB business units in Guarulhos and Betim as well as for Quintas & Quintas Group, Elecnor SSo Paulo, and Bredero Shaw.
 
Paulo Braz, Wilson Vicente, Finance Director
Mr. Paulo Braz is a CPA with an MBA in Finance. Working for Price Waterhouse Coopers, he had 13 years of experience as an auditor in various segments of the Brazilian economy. Mr. Braz also served as Controller Superintendent for a large state-owned Bank in Minas Gerais, which merged with BRADESCO. Mr. Braz also has experience in the automotive industry, having served as Finance Director for Iochpe Maxion Group. He speaks Portuguese and English.
 
Walter Francisco de Moura Salles, Sales and Marketing Manager
Mr. Salles holds a degree in business administration and has over 33 years of experience in the power line transmission and distribution business. During his many years with ABB Brazil, Mr. Salles held a variety of key management roles, including contract management in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Argentina. From 2002 through 2006, he managed the Marketing and Sales Department of the ABB Brazil Transmission Lines Division. Since 2007, with SAE Towers Brazil, Mr. Salles has been responsible for selling to utilities, contractors and transmission companies in Brazil and the rest of South America.
 
Geraldo Wagner Vieira, Project and Planning Manager
Mr. Vieira is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience in managing large transmission tower and hardware supply contracts as well as transmission line and substation construction contracts. As a senior project manager he was responsible for the EPC project of Tucuruí - Vila do Conde and Tucurí - Presidente Dutra, one of the largest projects ever performed in Brazil with more than 1,200 kilometers of transmission lines and five substations. Mr. Viera is now in charge of Project Management and Planning at SAE Towers Brasil and is responsible for the successful performance of tower and hardware contracts. Mr. Vieira has participated in many contractual negotiations with customers. He has completed ABB's Project Management training programs in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Brazil administered by George Washington University and ESI from United States, as well as various management programs at Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
 
Rogerio Peixoto Guimarães, Engineering Manager
Mr. Guimarães has over 25 years of experience as an engineer in design, analysis and testing of EHV and UHV transmission structures and substations. In his previous position as the Engineering Manager for ABB Brazil Transmission Lines Division, Mr. Guimarães acquired extensive experience in design of latticed steel towers, telecommunication structures and substation structures. Mr. Guimarães has been instrumental in the design and full-scale testing of several 500 kV and 765 kV tower supply projects for the Brazilian Transmission Line System. Mr. Guimarães is a Civil Engineer and Structure Specialist by Federal University of Minas Gerais. He is a member of CIGRé: Study Committee SC-B2 (Overhead Lines), acting as Secretary of the Brazilian SC-B2 Committee and as Coordinator of the Brazilian Working Group GT-B2.08 (Structure for Transmission Lines).
 
Edo Poli, Production Manager
Mr. Poli has over 50 years of experience in steel structure manufacturing management with special emphasis in transmission lines structures. During Mr. Poli’s career, he held several key manufacturing positions with varied responsibilities, including planning, production management and purchasing. At SBE (SAE’s former name in Brazil) he was responsible for the production of structures for several important projects for national and international clients in North and South America. He was also responsible for several strategic improvements at the first SBE factory. Mr. Poli participated in the building and implementation of the second SBE factory in Contagem. He joined ABB in 1994 as Production Manager of tower manufacturing in Contagem. In 1997 he led the team responsible for the start up of the new plant building in Betim. Since 2007 he has acted as Production Manager for SAE Towers’ plant in Brazil. Mr Poli is fluent in Portuguese and Italian.
 
Geraldo Donizete Pinto, Quality Coordinator
Geraldo Donizete has earned a Mechanical Industrial Engineering Degree and a Postgraduate Degree in Quality Administration and Technology from the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais. Previous to joining SAE Towers, Mr. Donizete worked for ABB. Mr.Donizete has more than 30 years of experience coordinating Quality Control and Quality Assurance for lattice steel structure and fittings plants.
 
Augusto Caetano de Mattos, Coordinator of Supply Department
Mr. Augusto Mattos has been certified as a Technician in Constructions by CEFET-MG and holds a Civil Engineering degree and postgraduate degree in Transportation Systems and Strategic Logistics from UFMG. Mr. Mattos worked as a site engineer for transmission lines and electrical substations projects for ABB from 1994 to 1998 in Brazil, Chile and Argentina. From 1998 to 2005, he worked also as thecoordinator of ABB’s Logistic and Supply Department, contracting services for field work in Brazil and abroad and acquiring materials and equipment in the national and international markets. Currently, he is Coordinator of the Supply Department of SAE Towers Brazil.
 
Ricardo S. Nakamura, Hardware and Accessories
Mr. Ricardo Nakamura has an engineering degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and post graduate degree in Economics Engineering from the Dom Cabral Foundation. From 1994 through 2006 he worked as a transmission line component project leader at ABB’s Transmission Systems Division. Mr. Nakamura is responsible for product development and coordination of transmission lines and substation engineering hardware projects. He is a member of Cigré Brazil, acting as Secretary of Working Group B2-11 (Mechanical Behavior of Cable, Hardware and Accessories). He also participates in the Brazilian standards revision initiative NBR 7095: Fittings for transmission lines and substations for high and extra high voltage.
 
Eugênio M. dos Anjos, Test Station Engineering Coordinator
Mr. Eugênio Anjos has 27 years of experience as an engineer in the analysis, design, and testing of lattice steel structures for high and extra-high voltage. He also has experience in the design of other types of steel structures, having worked as a senior engineer for such companies as Morrison Knudsen, Mendes Junior Industrial and ABB. Since 2006, Mr. Eugênio Anjos has been Test Station Coordinator overseeing the testing of many kinds of structures for customers such as BPA, GTC, PACIFCORP e HYDRO QUEBEC . Mr Eugênio Anjos holds a B.Sc. with Specialization in Structural Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
 
Mariana Brant Maia Franqueira, Sales Support Coordinator
Mariana Franqueira is a civil engineer. She holds a post-graduate level degree in Sales Engineering Project Management and a Certificate in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Her experience includes contract management, quotation and sales of steel structures and hardware for transmission lines, towers and substations. She began her career in 2005 at ABB Ltda. She is currently the Sales Support Coordinator for SAE Towers Brazil.
 
Sérgio Cláudio dos Santos, Senior Engineer
Mr. Santos is a structural engineer and has 23 years of experience in the analysis and design of latticed steel structures for high voltage transmission line and substation structures ranging up to 500kV, including guyed, self-supported and river crossing towers. He also has experience in the design of steel industrial and commercial structures, having worked for companies such as Morrison Knudsen, SBE and ABB. He was engineering leader of the TL 500kV Brazil-Argentina Interconnection project. Mr. Santos held a teaching position at Kennedy University and holds a B.Sc. with Specialization in Structural Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
 
Paulo César de Campos, Intermediate Engineer
Mr. Campos is a structural engineer and has ten years of experience in the modeling, analysis and design of latticed steel structures for high voltage transmission line and substation ranging up to 500kV, including guyed, self-supported and river crossing towers. He has worked at SAE Towers since 2007 and participated in several TL projects in Brazil, South America and USA. Mr. Campos holds a B.Sc. and received a M.Sc. degree in Structural Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2001.
