| Michael D. Miller, P.E., VP, Engineering and Sales |  | | Mr. Miller has over 23 years of experience as an engineer in the design, analysis and testing of high voltage transmission structures. In his previous position as the Senior Structural Engineer with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Mr. Miller accumulated extensive experience in latticed steel towers, tubular steel poles, telecommunication structures and substation structures. In 2002, Mr. Miller was instrumental in the design, testing and supply of BPA's infrastructure expansion projects, resulting in 23 new latticed tower types within 23 months. Mr. Miller is a member of ASCE and actively serves on various commItáees for the transmission line industry. In September of 2011, the ASCE/SEI appointed Mr. Miller as the chairperson of the Technical Committee on Electrical Transmission Structures for the term of October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2014. Mr. Miller has a B.S. and M.S. from Portland State University and is a registered professional Civil Engineer in multiple states and provinces across North America. | | | | Miguel Mendieta, Manager, Engineering |  | | Mr. Mendieta has almost 20 years of experience as an engineer in the design, analysis and testing of EHV and UHV transmission structures. In his previous positions as Consulting Engineer for ABB’s Power Line Division in the United States and Chief Engineer for ABB’s Tower Plant in Monterrey, Mexico, Mr. Mendieta acquired extensive expertise in the design of steel lattice towers, tubular steel poles and overhead power lines. Mr. Mendieta has been instrumental in the design and full-scale testing of several major tower supply projects in North America. Mr. Mendieta holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a member of the ASCE. |
