| Michael D. Miller, P.E., Manager, Marketing and Sales | | | Mr. Miller has more than 20 years of experience as an engineer in the design, analysis and testing of high voltage transmission structures. In his previous position as the Senior Structural Engineer with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Mr. Miller accumulated extensive experience in latticed steel towers, tubular steel poles, telecommunication structures and substation structures. In 2002, Mr. Miller was instrumental in the design, testing and supply of BPA's infrastructure expansion projects, resulting in 23 new latticed tower types within 23 months. Mr. Miller is a member of ASCE and actively serves on various committees for the transmission line industry. Mr. Miller has a B.S. and M.S. from Portland State University and is a registered professional Civil Engineer. | | | | Miguel Mendieta, Manager, Engineering | | | Mr. Mendieta has almost 20 years of experience as an engineer in the design, analysis and testing of EHV and UHV transmission structures. In his previous positions as Consulting Engineer for ABB’s Power Line Division in the United States and Chief Engineer for ABB’s Tower Plant in Monterrey, Mexico, Mr. Mendieta acquired extensive expertise in the design of steel lattice towers, tubular steel poles and overhead power lines. Mr. Mendieta has been instrumental in the design and full-scale testing of several major tower supply projects in North America. Mr. Mendieta holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a member of the ASCE. | | | | Amado Lizarraga, Senior Design Engineer | | | Mr. Lizarraga is a structural engineer specializing in the analysis and design of high voltage transmission structures including all aspects of EHV and UHV lattice towers ranging up to 765kV. In his previous position as Transmission Engineer with IID Energy, Mr. Lizarraga built up extensive experience in overhead line modeling and design. Before joining the power industry, Mr. Lizarraga worked as a structural engineer for LERA (Leslie E. Robertson and Associates) and collaborated on projects in North America, Europe, India and South East Asia. Mr. Lizarraga holds a B.Sc. from the University of California at Berkeley and a M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. | | | | Paul Mostella, Design Engineer | | | Mr. Mostella is a design engineer at our Houston office. He has an EIT certificate with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a M.E. degree in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University. Paul joined SAE Towers in July, 2009. | | | | Alberto Prieto, P.E., Design Engineer | | | Mr. Prieto has more than 5 years of experience as an engineer in several design industries, which include residential, commercial, high-rise, offshore and high voltage transmission structures. Mr. Prieto has design and analysis experience with various structural materials including structural steel, concrete, masonry and timber. Mr. Prieto has designed various types of structures in high wind and seismic regions across the United States. Mr. Prieto holds a B.S. and M.E. from Texas A&M University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. | | | | Ben Sherrod, Marketing and Sales | | | Mr. Sherrod is responsible for coordinating marketing and sales efforts at SAE Towers. He also has experience in the design and analysis of both guyed and self-supported steel lattice towers. Prior to joining SAE Towers, he served as an engineer and project manager in the heavy industrial and petrochemical industry. He gained valuable experience in steel and foundation design as well as project management in the downstream oil and gas sector. Mr. Sherrod received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. |
