Solutions for the Railway and Metro Sectors
The third rail is another solution option widely used in railway systems, where it is not possible to make use of catenaries (aerial electrification) or to use lower trains, which develop greater speed. SAE Towers has experience in systems that use the third rail in different configurations.
This is an electrical energy supply system, installed on the inner side of the railway track, in order to provide electrical energy for propulsion and also provide greater energy efficiency. However, specialist care and maintenance is required as the third rail is live and may pose a risk of electrical shock.
It is a product that is not manufactured in Brazil. Therefore, we are available to contribute to the implementation of this solution.
